The medication is prescribed to women whose bodies are unable to produce the required amount of hormones any more. It can effectively treat menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes and osteoporosis, as well as used for treatment of certain types of cancer in men and women.
How to take
Premarin should be taken during meals or immediately after to prevent upset stomach. Take the medication according to your doctor’s instructions and directions on the prescription label. Do not change the dosage or period of use without prior medical consult.
Side effects
Common side effects of taking Premarin include: dizziness, headache, upset stomach, nausea, bloating and feeling light headed. These effects should subside after your body adjusts to treatment.
Contact a medical specialist immediately if you experience any of the following: severe depression or headache, pain in the chest, feeling short of breath, lumps in the breasts, body weakness or tingling, jaundice, changed vaginal bleeding (spotting, prolonged or no bleeding), calf pain, rash, stomach pain.
If you develop any side effects not listed here, contact your doctor immediately.
Precautions
Inform your doctor of your entire medical history, including: diabetes, asthma, epilepsy, high blood pressure, migraines, liver or kidney disease, heart strokes, depression, toxemia, jaundice during pregnancy, excessive fluid retention and weight gain during menstruation, uterine fibroid tumor, abnormal vaginal bleeding, gallbladder disease, cholesterol, lipid problems or blood clots. Provide information on your family medical history too, especially of breast cancer and lumps.
If you are going to have a surgery, inform your medical specialist about taking this medication. Premarin, especially in high doses, can cause melisma (darkening of the color of skin and face). In order to not increase this effect, avoid exposure to sunlight. Consult your doctor about the use of protecting clothing and sunscreens. Patients (especially women past 35) should avoid smoking while taking the medication as it may increase the risk of blood clots.
Pregnant women must not use the medication. If you are pregnant or suspect pregnancy, consult your doctor immediately. Breast-feeding women are not advised to use the medication as it may pass into breast milk.
Drug interactions
Notify your medical specialist about other medications you are taking, especially: hydantoins (phenytoin), corticosteroids (prednisone) or barbiturates (phenobarbital). As Premarin can affect medical test results, notify the lab personnel and your doctor before having any tests.
Missed dose
If you have missed your dose of Generic Premarin, make sure to take it as soon as possible. However, two doses should never be taken at the same time, so if the time for the next dose has almost come, DO NOT take the dose you have missed.
Storage
Generic Premarin should be stored at room temperature between 59°F and 86°F (15°C and 30°C) away from moisture and light, and out of reach of children and pets. Avoid storing in the bathroom.
Testimonials

“My ED was giving me nightmares! Yes, I could use Viagra but it was too expensive to buy all the time. That’s why I ordered a generic version at Canadian Pharmacy and could not be happier with the results.”
Janine L., 35, Winnipeg Albuterol
“What I like most about this pharmacy is that they deliver very fast and always package it securely so no one knows what I ordered. It is a big deal for someone who has very nosy neighbours.”
